Durham Constabulary  Male Voice Choir The funeral of the Durham Constabulary  Male Voice Choir was held at in C/E church in Darlington. it was a curious mixture of mnisters- C/E, methodist and Baptist Easter Taking the service. However there was a lot of praise for his work win a lot of musical spheres. He certainly had improved the quality of sound of the choir, but the repertoire was stale and repetitive – 70’s song, ‘Les Mis’ almost inevitably and Welsh hymns , all good in their way, but male voice choir music is much more than this. Hopefully the prospective conductor will diversify the repertoire and make the choir more responsive to balance and musical shading than before.

Easter¬†This upon us once more, we went to the complete triduum of services. St Pat’s choir is still as bad as ever, but the rest of the service ¬†itself was somehow more better in presentation than last year.

Diploma  My fortnightly practice with Edward has developed into a music discussion and much more  a personal interaction.. I am slowly absorbing much of what he advises me, but enjoying his enthusiasm.

We are looking at revitalising the bedrooms. The plans we’ve talked of with a local firm are not bad for main bedroom , but other 2 bedrooms are uninspiring. We have put it all on hold.

Kelloe Luncheon Club I did a Spring  theme programme for the diners. They responded with gusto. I seem to be an established bi-monthly feature.
